Qigong (Chi Kung)

 

Qigong is pronounced "Chi Kung" and is often spelt that way. Translated it means "Breath of Life", in fact it is breathing exercises which cultivates the Chi, or vital energy within the body and transmits it to all the body organs. It was known in ancient China as "the method to repel illness and prolong life". Qigong makes a good introduction to Tai Chi itself as some of the moves are very similar.
